Fancy the Great German Beer, delicious food and the traditional German party atmosphere but without the chaos of Oktoberfest? Try the Stuttgart Volksfest, second only in size to its big brother in Bavaria, the Volksfest has its own unique atmosphere .

Held at the Cannstatter Wasen on the banks of the River Neckar, the Volksfest offers a huge variety of German Beers, Black Forest Wines and fine gourmet German food in a more relaxed atmosphere. As with all German Beer Festivals, Volksfest is filled with traditional dress, Oompah bands and huge marquees. In addition to this, the festival also has a carnival, with theme park rides, fireworks, parades and live music in the huge space that is the Wasen.
